Oh what a great God we serve because He knew that in this life we would need grace.
There are moments when our lives get so hectic as we all work increasingly hard to pursue our dreams and purposes. We ultimately end up setting crazy expectations for ourselves and for people around us. But we must remember when the expectations are not met, we have the choice to give/receive grace, fill up with pride and resentment or just quit.
You see, when we are too hard on ourselves or others, it leaves little room for us to receive or offer grace to others. To offer grace to others is to be patient, quick to forgive, long suffering and always loving.
We, brothers and sisters in Christ, are in this race together. Let’s pray that God will continue to extend the precious gift of grace to us and our brothers and sisters as we walk boldly in Christ. Let’s encourage each other to be victorious as we press-on and keep fighting the good fight of faith.
Scripture:
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
~ 2 Corinthians 12:9
Prayer:
Father God, thank you for your amazing grace! For Your Word says that it is by grace that we have been saved and we are so thankful that You saw fit to save us. As we fully accept Your precious gift of grace that allows us to do all that You have called us to do, help us extend that same grace to ourselves and to friends, family, and associates who may have caused offense or fallen short of our expectations. Lord, help us forget the unfruitful things of the past and focus on what you are doing in us and through us, now and in the future. Let Your Holy Spirit lead us as we grow in grace together. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
