As our daughters get older, their emotions are getting wilder, questions are getting deeper and sometimes mouths are a bit smarter than my liking. But even on the days when I just want to discipline them, I try my best to affirm instead—Reminding them that they’re unique and natural born leaders. God created them just the way they’re supposed to be, to lead the purposeful life He has planned just for them.

As their mom, I want to make sure I’m highlighting their strengths and encouraging them when they struggle. And to be honest, some days are a lot harder than others.

Naomi (our oldest) now reflects on her identity in Christ with a daily planner I got from https://forgirlslikeyou.com/ and she loves it. I am thankful for people who share their gifts with the world and create resources to help others. Raising daughters is no easy task for me but I’m always up for the challenges in life. I’m grateful I don’t have to do it alone.

To other moms out there, remember that you don’t have to do this alone, either. It’s okay to give yourself grace, get parenting resources and embrace your support system. It’s not only okay, it’s necessary. 💛
