Hope or Fear? The Choice is Yours …

As the trio (my three junior high kiddos) headed to their training session this AM, I got a glimpse of what this school year is going to look like in two weeks. They will be walking on most days. My youngest daughter will be taking the bus. For a long time, I’ve been the mom who drops off and picks up daily, just to know for certain that they’re safe. With this change, I am challenged to remove my fearful thoughts to solely trust God. He has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind (2 Tim 1:7).

In this political climate, we are also challenged—what voices will we listen to and what will we choose to say/do? Well…I choose Jesus—giving my ear and the microphone to hope.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.”
‭‭-Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
